[mod_gzip] Handling compression of .doc files ?

  Hi,

I try to use mod_gzip for a short time.
It works very well, but what I'd like to do is to be able to use
compression for ".doc" or ".xls" files. 
Is it possible, and if so, how (I've tried to add ".doc" file type or
"application/msword" mime type, without success).
