hi,

in fact, it really works! check the following URL:

http://leknor.com/code/gziped.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmad4you.homeip.net%2F
mod_gzip_test.html

it seems to work with static files, so i don't think there should be
such a difference by treating dynamic generated files (?) in my humble
opinion, i think the error should be searched not in version numbers but
in the configuration-directives in httpd.conf (?)

i got the .so-file from
http://www.pcp-computer.de/gkn/apache/httpd-2.0/win32/modules/ (as
stated before), and the archive-file is called 'mod_gzip-2.0.43-w32.zip'
- i think the version number of the file indicates it's a binary for
apache 2.0.43; do i err?

unfortunately, i wasn't able to find a mod_gzip.so 2.0.43 for windows
out there :(

greetings
mario
