[Mod_gzip] mod_gzip & apache 2 - please help!! urgent!

mod_gzip for 1.3.X is VERY well maintained now, however, the people who
do this great work are of the opinion the apaceh2 API is in such a state
of flux that they will not work (cannot work) on mod)gzip for apache2 on
UNIX/Linux. (windoze, who cares)
I'll wait at 1.3.X until apach2 has a stable mod_gzip
