Search the mod_gzip archives. Someone wrote a "how to" which shows you how
to incorporate mod_gzip and mod_ssl

This doesn't work either. I've proved that the proxy is actually working
and passing requests to the specified target, its just that mod_gzip
isn't working on those requests - which implies that it has been
encrypted before being passed through the proxy.
Oh well, we aren't going to pay for the commercial version of mod_gzip,
so we'll probably just leave it compressing http content and let ssl
content through uncompressed.
