[Mod_gzip] Mod_gzip not able to handle POST method

are we talking about the same _type_ of user agent, or about
the same _instance_?

Especially when it comes to M$IE, this user agent supports
gzip encoding only when configured appropriately.

     Is it possible to specify at the BROWSER level the method[POST , GET] 
     for which compression should be enabled ??  If yes, how should it be 
     enabled? We use IE 6.0 with both settings of HTTP1.1 enabled.

     My understanding is that once the protool is specified as HTTP1.1 , the 
     browser would be default send the Accept-Encoding header. This is the 
     reason of me being amazed at the fact  that GET method is being 
     compressed but for POST method mod_gzip throws-up the foll. message    
              mod_gzip: DECLINED:NO_ACCEPT_ENCODING'.

     Appreciate all help.

     with the POST?

     if not so that would be the correct behaviour
